Kabang is a two-year-old shepherd-mix from Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines.

In December, 2011, she JUMPED in front of a speeding motorcycle to save her owner's 11-year-old daughter and niece from getting run over.

Kabang got hit by the motorcycle and ended up losing her SNOUT.  Doctors couldn't reconstruct her nose or upper jaw.  Instead, she spent eight months in the U.S. and had $27,000 worth of surgery to close the open hole in her face.

People from 45 different countries donated money to cover Kabang's medical costs, and on Sunday, she returned home to the Philippines and got a HERO'S welcome.  They held a parade in her honor and named her the "dog ambassador of goodwill".

Check out some photos of Kabang here.
