By now, we've all heard the devastating news of Prince's passing. A music star who will never be forgotten, Prince was a talented artist who loved his fans. People everywhere are buying his music in efforts to keep his sound alive. One movie theater in Lubbock is making that a little easier for everyone.

If you want to mourn and remember with other beloved Prince fans and watch him on the big screen, today is your chance.

Lubbock's Alamo Drafthouse, a movie theater well known for its special screenings, is putting on a Prince memorial screening of "Purple Rain."

Friday, April 22 at 10 p.m., the Alamo Drafthouse will open up for fans to come and enjoy a final performance in memory of this legendary artist. Alamo Drafthouse is located at 120 West Loop 289 Lubbock, Texas 79416.

Tickets to this event are $5 each and all proceeds will go to the Lubbock Arts Festival, which is a local event to showcase the visual, performing and children’s arts.
