Each year in Lubbock, The Salvation Army offers holiday shoppers the opportunity to adopt a child or senior through their Angel Tree program.

The Angel Tree program allows individuals the opportunity to personalize a gift for a child or senior citizen in need by adopting an Angel and purchasing gifts for that individual. Last year The Salvation Army and the Lubbock community provided over 14,000 gifts to 3,655 children in need!

Gifts can be returned to the South Plains Mall or to The Salvation Army at 1111 16th Street until December 16. Gifts are distributed to the families during The Salvation Army’s annual Toy Shop held December 19 from 12 -4 PM and December 20 from 8 AM to 12 PM at the South Plains Fairground.

Angels from the Lubbock community can also be adopted online by going to jcpenny.com and clicking on the Angel Giving Tree icon.
