Just one look is all it takes for Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel to send the Batmobile conveniently careening into boxes of Gotham City gas (they keep gas in boxes there? What kind of city is this?). The latest TV spot for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is more of a clip, really, and shows us a brief glimpse of the scene in which Superman wrecks the Batmobile and the pair of heroes glare at each other…a lot.

“Do you bleed? You will” still sounds totally ridiculous out of context coming from Ben Affleck’s Batman, and here it looks like a silly phrase uttered by the school bully in an attempt to get the last word. At the same time — Lex Luthor aside — it’s the most humorous thing we’ve seen from the film so far.

The new spot aired during the NFL playoffs, and like the previous clip / TV spot that featured Batman chained up in a desert cave, this one isn’t doing the film many favors. The trailers, on the other hand, have been a bit more promising and somewhat — oddly — exciting. Maybe that’s not such a good thing.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.  And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also stars Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, and hits theaters on March 25.
