Cabela’s Announces Opening Date of Lubbock Store

Cabela’s will officially open the doors to its Lubbock store at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26. A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Cabela’s executives and special guests will begin at 10:45 a.m.

Opening day will begin a weekend-long celebration featuring outdoor celebrities, giveaways and more.

The 42,000-square-foot Lubbock location is Cabela’s fifth store in Texas, joining Fort Worth, Allen, Buda and Waco. Texas will be the only state with at least five Cabela’s stores after the Lubbock location opens.  The opening marks the first store in West Texas.

The store, which will employ approximately 90 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees, is located at 3030 W. Loop 289.

The Lubbock Cabela’s is designed with a rugged look and feel and, in addition to thousands of quality outdoor products, features wildlife displays, innovative digital signage, hand-painted murals, an indoor archery range and archery tech room, gun counter and more.

Customers will be treated to the exciting Cabela’s shopping experience with access to all Cabela’s merchandise via online order kiosks, as well as free shipping with an in-store pickup program. In-store pickup allows customers to order Cabela’s gear ahead of time and pick it up at their convenience at the store of their choice.

Currently, Cabela’s operates 54 stores across North America and has announced plans to open an additional 20 over the next two years.
