According to the Lubbock Police Department, one person was shot in the arm on Easter Sunday during a confrontation with a group of black males.

The shooting victim is 18-year-old Edwardo Maravilla.

Police say that Maravilla and three of his friends were at an unspecified location in East Lubbock when the suspects, a group of four or five black men, pulled up in a vehicle.

During a verbal argument, one of the black males pulled out a handgun and reportedly fired at random at Maravilla's group.

Maravilla was struck once in the arm and was brought to the UMC's Emergency Room.

No other information is available regarding the alleged crime scene or identity of the group of men who confronted Maravilla.
