Actor Eli Wallach died yesterday at the age of 98. There's no word on the cause of death, but it probably had something to do with him BEING 98.

Eli is probably best known for the 1966 Spaghetti Western "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly", in which he played Tuco Ramirez...a.k.a. The Ugly.

His other films include "The Magnificent Seven", "The Misfits", "Mackenna's Gold" and "The Godfather Part 3".

He kept acting well into his 90s, appearing in two movies in 2010: "Wall Street:  Money Never Sleeps" and the Roman Polanski film "The Ghost". He was also one of three men to play Mr. Freeze on the "Batman" TV series in the 1960s.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, actress Anne Jackson.
