HBO has canceled 'Luck', because the show was killing too many horses. Earlier this week, a THIRD horse had to be euthanized after being injured on the set.

The network released a statement saying, quote, “[We] have decided to cease all future production on the series 'Luck'. Safety is always of paramount concern. While we maintained the highest safety standards possible, accidents unfortunately happen and it is impossible to guarantee they won't in the future. Accordingly, we have reached this difficult decision."

The final two episodes of the first season will air this Sunday and the following Sunday. 'Luck' was previously picked up for a second season, but obviously that isn't happening anymore.

Here's the opening credits to the show. Dustin Hoffman was actually the executive producer.
