Interstate 27 from Lubbock to Amarillo is closed this morning due to hazardous driving conditions. TxDOT and DPS said the closure is in effect even with barricades not being present on the roadway.

US Highway 84 in Hockley County is closed off due to hazardous driving conditions.

Snowfall totals include just over 2" in Lubbock, about 2" in Floydada, about 4" in Shallowater and between 10"-12" in Amarillo.

Interstate 40 has been completely closed in the Texas Panhandle from the New Mexico border to the Oklahoma border. US Highway 87/287 is closed from Amarillo northbound to the Oklahoma border.

In New Mexico…  The Clovis Police Department has declared an Emergency Crash Alert. This means that Clovis Police will only respond to crashes with injuries and any other crash reporting will have to take place after the Blizzard Storm Conditions pass.  Clovis Police want drivers to stay off of the roads, unless absolutely necessary.

Drivers are also encouraged take extra caution when driving on local streets and county roads across the KFYO listening area.
