Looking at historical records, not really.

I moved to Lubbock from Reno, Nevada back in April. While the mountains around Reno were known for massive amounts of snowfall, the amount that tracked down the hill and into the valley was usually a few inches at best.

So, I ditched the twin AWD Subaru for the move to the flat lands of West Texas...only to be welcomed by bi-weekly ice and snow! Just my luck.

If there is a silver lining, I do like the beauty of the recent snowfall far more than the brutality of a monster West Texas ice storm.
