The Texas Tech men's basketball team just made more history. Keenan Evans and Zhaire Smith will be taking part in the 2018 NBA Draft Combine that takes place May 16-20 in Chicago, Illinois.

Evans and Smith will become the first basketball players in Red Raider history to be invited to the combine.

The NBA Draft Combine is a multi-day showcase where some of the world's best draft-eligible players will participate in physical measurements, interviews, drills, medical and athletic testing in preparation for the annual NBA Draft, held Thursday, June 21.

Keenan Evans averaged 17.6 points in his career for the Red Raiders, including a masterful senior season where he played nearly the entire second part of the season on a broken toe.

Zhaire Smith was only in Lubbock for one short season, but he made the most of his time as a Red Raider. He averaged 11 points and five boards a game for Texas Tech, and was nothing less than a human highlight machine.

The NBA Draft Combine will be televised by ESPN2 on May 17 and May 18 from 2-6 p.m. CT.
