The main thing to take away from the post game presser is that Texas Tech needs to focus on next week after the team's first loss of 2017 to Oklahoma State.

Kingsbury mentioned how the team did not respond well to losses during the 2016 season. Has that changed?

"Last year we didn't handle losses well at all. So we'll find out this week what we're made of," Kingsbury said. "Last year when we came out with a couple disappointing losses the next week we had some bad letdowns."

Kingsbury did have a positive outlook for this year's team. "I like this team's mentality," he said. "I have so far. I expect them to fight back and get better this week. So we'll find out this week what we're made of really."

The Oklahoma State game was ugly, but the team was 10-point underdog and was driving with the ball to take the lead with four minutes left in the game.

The defense gave up nearly 600 yards, but also made some stops and only allowed seven points in the 4th quarter. The defense forced field goals, including two missed ones, after allowing the Cowboys passage between the 20-yard lines. The offense struggled and couldn't make the big plays like they did in the Houston game.
