Landon’s Hero of the Day – Mike Redeker

This morning I mentioned that there was a hero that came to the rescue of one of the victims of yesterday's fatal car accident at 82nd & Quaker. His name is Mike Redeker and I'd like to have a beer with him sometime.

You see, Mike has cajones. The driver of the BMW, Ladon Wells, was trapped inside her burning vehicle immediately after the crash. Mike saw a car in flames and decided to risk his own life to save another. That's a 'hero' in my eyes.

I went to school with Mike's son, Nick. Nick posted this on Facebook yesterday:

If I grow up to be half the man, Mike Redeker, is I will be blessed. My dad is the best man in the world....he is my hero but more importantly he is an honest man that will help anyone in need. Love you dad and thank god you both are OK!!!!!
