The No More Fears, No More Tears Chili Cook-off will take place November 7, 2015 with proceeds to benefit the Holly Combs Scholarship Fund and Women's Protective Services of Lubbock.

Holly Combs was tragically murdered by her husband in October, 2014. Her family has fought, since then, to raise awareness about the dangers and tragedies related to domestic violence.

Senator Charles Perry was key in passing the Holly Combs Act, which he said is to "ensure that no other families have to deal with the situation that faced the Combs family after losing their daughter."

The chili cookoff will be held at Buffalo Springs Lake, Saturday, November 7, 2015.  Check in time will between 9 & 11 a.m. Cost per entry for original or spicy chili is $40 and $20 per entry in the open meat category.

There will also be face painting and live music from noon to 8 p.m.

For more information, contact Chip or Alice Combs at (806) 771-0861.
