The man Lubbock police arrested back on January 11 for a hit and run incident involving Lubbock Sheriff’s Office Deputy Ryan Burns has been freed.

Suspect Richard Bradley was questioned for hours about the hit and run and was eventually taken to the Lubbock County Jail for the crime. Police believed they had enough probable cause to warrant his arrest.

The following day, a follow-up investigation showed Bradley passed the scene of the crime, but didn’t commit the act.

Police continue their search for a suspect.

Deputy Ryan Burns was taken to UMC with several serious injuries, no update has been made regarding his status at this time.
