Charles Chavez, 29, of Lubbock has been accused of sexually abusing four boys multiple times between May and September of 2014.

On Monday, December 5th, Chavez pleaded not guilty to the charge of first-degree felony continuous sexual abuse of a child trial. If convicted, Chavez faces up to 25 years in prison.

Chavez was accused in 2014 when a parent alerted police that he was using his position at the Boys and Girls Club to sexually abuse three boys. After the charge was filed, a fourth boy also made a claim against him.

Chavez was reported to have befriended the children at the club, located at 3301 Cornell Street. He then reportedly had the boys spend several nights at his home.

His bond is set at $300,000.
