Lubbock Musician Donnie Allison Passes [VIDEO]

At 10:00 tonight, the love of my life won his battle with cancer. He is no longer in pain and has regained his voice as he is singing with angels in the presence of his Savior. We are in the process of planning Donnie’s farewell concert which will be celebrated this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Church, 7002 Canton Ave., Lubbock, Texas.

We will all miss Donnie terribly. He was an exceptional talent, a true musician and a great friend to Kool 98 and myself. As a matter of fact, Donnie and the JD's recorded an on-the-spot jingle for me many years ago. Take a listen:
