A pedestrian was struck by an SUV Saturday night in Lubbock. The yet-to-be-identified man later died at University Medical Center.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, the accident occurred in front of the Stratford Place Apartments at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night (Dec. 10).

The victim was crossing 4th Street in front of the apartment complex when he was struck by an SUV. The man was brought to UMC via EMS and was pronounced dead there.

The driver of the SUV was questioned by officers and released. However, police say its an ongoing investigation.
