The Lubbock United Neighborhood Association, along with the Lubbock Police Department, will be participating in National Night Out next week.  The 32nd Annual National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 4 at 6pm at various locations around Lubbock.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods
safer, better places to live.

National Night Out is designed to:
• Heighten crime, drug and violence prevention awareness.
• Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs.
• Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.
• Send a message to criminals letting them know the neighborhoods are organized
and fighting back.

“This is a fun opportunity for the residents and first responders in Lubbock to build a
better relationship while showing criminals and our neighbors that we are willing to work
together to decrease crime and increase safety within our neighborhoods.” -- LUNA
Executive Director, Tony Spray.
