Fort Worth, Texas native and finalist on NBC's highly-rated music show "The Voice" Luke Wade performed live and unplugged for some lucky VIPs Saturday before his show in Lubbock.

Prior to what ended up being an amazing performance at Jake's Backroom Saturday night (Jan. 10), a group of VIP members were invited to hear Wade play some of his original songs, plus songs he performed on "The Voice," in a more intimate setting: our studio.

During the performance, Wade talked to the people in attendance and explained a little about each song. It was a very special treat for his fans and an opportunity to meet the very gracious singer in a relaxed setting.

Fans were also treated to hearing one of Wade's newest songs, "Dreams Keep Me Awake." According to the singer, he wrote the 50s-inspired ballad within the past month and only recently started playing it live.

Wade was about as down to Earth as you can get. Following the set, he spent time with each person in attendance, including several children. He took photos (see above), signed autographs and told stories.

Thanks again to our loyal VIPs who came out and to Einstein Bros. for the great lunch!

Watch Luke Wade Perform "The Runaround," "Eyes on the Horizon" and "Her Dreams Keep Me Awake."
