Lynda Carter Hopes the New Wonder Woman “Kicks Butt” [PICS & VIDEO]

Legendary "Wonder Woman" actress Lynda Carter has given NBC's upcoming "Wonder Woman" series her blessing, and she hopes Adrianne Palicki shines in her old role.

She said, quote, "I think the story needs to be retold.  It needs to have a fresh look.  It affected a lot of people.  I think it's time, I think it's important to have it out there."

When asked if she had any advice for Adrianne, Lynda said, quote, "Gosh, I could never offer her any advice.  Nor would she probably want any.  If she wants to talk to me, that would be a whole different thing.

"She's an actress and she's a good actress and she's beautiful . . . and I hope she kicks butt."

(Lynda starred in "The New Adventures of Wonder Woman" from 1975 to 1979.  It originally aired on ABC, before switching to CBS after the first season.
