A Dawson County jury has found a man guilty of murder.

KAMC News reports 19 year-old Joe Johnson was found guilty in the February 2016 shooting death of Dominique Adams in Lamesa.

According to authorities, the pair exchanged words with each other during an argument before Johnson fired multiple gunshots at Adams. Two of the bullets struck Adams, killing him.

Johnson, who was 17 at the time of the murder must serve at least 30 years before he can request parole.
