On This Day in 1973 – Billy Joel Releases ‘Piano Man’

It was on November 9th 1973 that Billy Joel released 'Piano Man'...thus preordaining, more than 20 years in advance, that every karaoke night would include one 5-minute, 36-second period that a drunk sorority girl would belt out an off key version of the song.
