Our life expectancy these days is somewhere between 75 and 80. Considerably less than that if we continue to wash down six packs of double cheeseburgers with a bottle of whiskey and a carton of cigarettes.

But babies born today can expect to live even longer.

According to a new report, one out of every three babies born in 2013 will live to be 100.  32% of male babies and 39% of female babies can expect to be alive in 2112.

Advances in medicine are the main reasons that life expectancy keeps going up.  Advances in diet, healthy living, environmental protection, and safety are also major factors.

Of course, Social Security will have dried up LONG before any of today's babies need it...but that's the next generation's problem, right guys?
