It was delayed by lightning, but the first day of fall camp went well for Kliff Kingsbury and company. Nothing can really be learned on day one, but there are a few things to highlight from the media availability during the first practice.

Obvious answers will be answered in time. Who will be the starting five on the offensive line? Who will step up at the WR position? Who will dominate the snaps at RB? The defense in general.

Here are some quick notes from the first day of practice.

Kliff's Notes:

Houston Miller slept on a mattress in the locker room and had two knock downs. Great start for the true freshman.

Conner Dyer has been injured, further impairing the depth of the offensive line.

The QBs look crisp.

The offensive line will be finalized next week with a starting left guard being named.

NCAA/Big 12 rules are dumb and Kliff hates them. (I'm assuming.)

Don't be alarmed, the hat is just to protect Kingsbury's youthful exuberance.

Pat's Peak

The team's unity is a strength. The brotherhood shows on the field and deepens competition.

The defense is smarter this year.

Keke Coutee, Reginald Davis and Devin Lauderdale had great days. All guys that will be a huge part in the 2016 offense.

The offensive line is competing hard to find a starting five.
