Record Store Day Hits Lubbock Black Friday At Ralph’s Records

Record Store Day is an actual day to celebrate the independent record store, which is a slowly dying breed these days. But thankfully Lubbock still has one left in Ralph's Records.

Record Store Day has become a music industry staple to celebrate the small independent record store that helps real music fans discover new and exciting bands. Even the biggest names in music now release special Record Store Day only songs and albums, and this is stuff you can only buy at your local indie store.

This year's Record Store Day releases include:

PAUL MCCARTNEY, QUEEN, LOU REED, GRATEFUL DEAD, KID CUDI,  VENOM,  WILLIE NELSON,  ARETHA FRANKLIN,  DIMEBAG DARRELL,  SUN RA,  DAVE MATTHEWS,  MUDDY WATERS,  LOS STRAIGHTJACKETS,  CHEAP TRICK,  RICHARD HELL,  SPARKS,  CHUCK BERRY,  NEIL YOUNG,  FLEET FOXES,  SUBLIME,  ISAAC HAYES,  RUSH,  DAN AUERBACH, AND MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED OTHER ARTISTS. 

And those are just the artists releasing music this Friday. Ralph's Records has a ton of free stuff they're giving away locally too. They sent us a list of stuff they're giving away starting at 9am Friday morning:
