The brother of the Lubbock man who died after being struck by a truck has penned an emotional Facebook post about the crash, which he witnessed firsthand.

Roman Martinez, the brother of Sammy Castaneda, posted the heartfelt message on his Facebook page after the multi-vehicle crash at 50th Street and Indiana Avenue.

The two men were on their motorcycles at a red light when a man, later identified as 49-year-old James Albert Pritchard, struck Castaneda from behind with his Ford F-150 truck. The collision forced both Castaneda and Pritchard into other vehicles.

Castaneda was rushed to Lubbock's UMC, where he died from his injuries.

Martinez fondly remembered his brother on Facebook, calling Castaneda "a true man of God."

Today was the best ride ever, it is a a ride I will remember for the rest of my life. I got to spend the day with an amazing man and go with him on his last ride. I feel honored to have spent the day with him on his valuable time on this earth. The sun was up and the roads were clear for just us. Unfortunately the ride ended up in tragedy. My brother and I were parked at the red light waiting on it to turn green when he was struck by a vehicle. The only green light he saw was his green light into heaven. He was a true man of God and now I have an Angel that will be with me forever. I felt death behind me and I truly felt it, my life was spared but a great life was taken. Your gonna be truly missed. Now you get to ride in peace on the golden roads of heaven. I love you bro. Thank you everyone for your prayers and sorry if I haven't responded to you guys. RIP Sam

James Albert Pritchard was treated at UMC for minor injuries and released. He was then booked into the Lubbock County Jail for Manslaughter, a second-degree felony. Currently, his bond is set at $50,000. Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Pritchard had went viral in August after he was photographed during an incident where he allegedly cursed at and threatened women and children in a Market Street parking lot that's near where the crash above occurred.
