The Lubbock area Salvation Army is seeking volunteers for a count of Lubbock’s homeless. The count, which is being done by the Salvation Army and the City of Lubbock’s homeless committee, will take place Thursday, January 27th from 6 to 9 a.m. Volunteers will team up and be out on the streets searching for homeless individuals.

Volunteers are required to attend a 1-hour training course prior to the count. This homeless count will help to provide local agencies with accurate numbers, and homeless individuals who participate will be provided with a hot breakfast, and a medical ID badge with their picture, name, and any known medical conditions. Potential volunteers are asked to contact the Salvation Army at 765-9434. You can also visit their Facebook page HERE.
