Late Wednesday night, the Shallowater ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Chad Terry (pictured) as the new Football Head Coach and Athletic Director for Shallowater High School.

According to Shallowater ISD, Terry is currently the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Plains ISD and he will come to Shallowater having taught and coached at the 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, and 1A levels over the past 27 years.

Prior to coaching at Plains High School, Terry served as the AD/Head Football Coach at for the Slaton Tigers and Sundown Roughnecks, and served as the Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach at Lubbock Coronado in 2011-12.

Terry graduated from Roby High School and is an alumni of Lubbock Christian University. Coach Terry and his wife Paige have two children, Slade, age 21, currently attending Lubbock Christian University and Race, age 20, currently attending Abilene Christian University.

Shallowater ISD Superintendent Kenny Border, states, “Chad Terry has coached at all levels over the past 27 years. He has had success as both a head football coach and athletic director, and we are excited for him to bring his expertise to SISD.”
