Sunday’s Stranger Things Season 2 Trailer premiere gave us quite a few Eggos bit to chew on, but the Halloween premiere is going to the next year pretty torturous. Thankfully, even more new photos have emerged, as well as plot details for the ambitious new year, and even a hint at what new creatures we might be seeing.

Entertainment Weekly debuted several new photos from the breakout Netflix drama’s second season, one of which picks up with the gang (Will included) in their Ghostbusters uniforms, as Season 2 will not-coincidentally open on Halloween 1984. Additionally, if the cover photo is any indication, Eleven seems to once-again have a head-turning haircut:

Elsewhere, the articles in question confirm that Season 2 will pick up approximately one year after the finale, as Will continues experiencing visions and after-effects of his time in the Upside-Down. Will’s mother Joyce is indeed dating Sean Astin’s character Bob, while Hopper is trying to keep the events of last year under wraps, and a few newbies come to mix things up:

Shaking up the dynamics in Hawkins is the arrival of another brother-sister duo, Billy (Dacre Montgomery) and Max (Sadie Sink). While Max becomes pals with the boys (and attracts romantic interest from Lucas and Dustin), Billy doesn’t exactly make friends. Teases Matt Duffer, “Stephen King always has really great human villains. The evil in the real world is often as bad or worse than the supernatural evil, so we wanted to introduce a character like that.”

Additionally, Paul Reiser’s Dr. Owens will have taken over the scientific outfit investigating the Upside-Down rift (we can also expect “different kinds of horror” this year), while Dustin will find himself with “an interesting polliwog-like pet.” You might remember that name as one of the episode titles first teased of Season 2.

We’ll likely see more of Stranger Things Season 2 within the next few days, but what make we of these first looks?
