Texas Tech Football Reveals Swanky New Locker Room [Video]

The Texas Tech Football team returned from a break in their summer workouts to debut their brand new renovated locker rooms. You can get a quick tour of the $1.6 million renovation in the video above.

The locker room is lined with red lighting and features 120 steel lockers that all highlight the center piece: a neon double T hanging from the ceiling, which is probably one of the coolest things I've ever seen and I want one for my house. It would be an epic addition to any man cave or just a bad-ass night light maybe.

The renovations also include a spiffy new entrance that displays the helmets of the Kingsbury era and new mats in the weight room with updated wall graphics.

"We are fortunate that our administration and donors actively invest in our student-athletes, who spend countless hours in the FTF during the year," Kingsbury said. "These renovations will not only greatly impact their lives but also the future of our program as we continue to recruit future student-athletes to this great university."

It's true, this renovation is huge for recruiting and it's one of the coolest locker room designs I have seen. Ultimately, it only matters what happens on the field, but everything that happens off the field builds into the final product and the results.

According to Texastech.com, this project was funded through The Campaign for Fearless Champions, which continues to make its mark on Texas Tech Athletics through philanthropic giving. The same donations that produced the Sports Performance Center, which is slated to open prior to the 2017 season.
