According to texastech.com, Texas Tech and Oregon have agreed on a two-game, home-and-home football series that will bring the Ducks to Lubbock in 2023 and then send the Red Raiders to Eugene the following season.

There will be lots of touchdowns and unlimited combinations of jerseys. I'm sure Nike and Under Armour will be trying to outdo each other just like the two teams on the field.

The Ducks will come to Lubbock on September 9, 2023, and the Red Raiders will return the favor going to the Ducks home pond on September 7, 2024.

The University of Oregon and Texas Tech have played twice before with the Ducks winning both games in the early 90's.

The Oregon series adds to a growing relationship with the Pac-12 and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders play Arizona State the next two years, in 2019 and 2020 the Texas Tech will face off with the Wildcats of Arizona.

Beyond the Pac-12 Texas Tech is leading a revolution of teams scheduling power 5 teams for non conference opponents. The Red Raiders just finished a series with Arkansas (SEC) and have one scheduled with NC State (ACC) beginning in 2022.

Texas Tech also has non power 5 conference opponents scheduled for non-conference games against the likes of Eastern Washington (2017), Houston (2017-18, 2021-22), Montana State (2019), UTEP (2019-20), Wyoming (2020, 2023) and Colorado State (2025-26).

Of course, Houston has been heavily linked to joining the Big 12, so Houston may be on the schedule more than just the games on the schedule right now.
