The no. 20 Red Raiders trailed by 11 at halftime and by as many as 13 in the second half before finishing the game against the Memphis Tigers Saturday in Miami with a 27-8 run over the final seven minutes.

With the big comeback win over the Tigers, and with some other teams in the top 25 losing last week, the Red Raiders have crept even higher than last week, jumping 7 spots to no. 13 this week.

Jarrett Culver lead the way for the Red Raiders against Memphis, scoring 20 points as well as racking up six assists and six rebounds. Deshawn Corprew and Brandone Francis finished in double figures for the second straight game. However, another Red Raider had the game of his career Saturday.

Tariq Owens arguably had his Red Raider breakout moment in the win against Memphis. He finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds, giving him a double-double. Owens also hosted his own block party inside the American Airlines Arena, which he was gracious enough to invite the entire Memphis team to.

Next up for the now no. 13-ranked Red Raiders, they begin a three-game home stand on Wednesday when the Red Raiders welcome Arkansas-Pine Bluff to the United Supermarkets Arena. All this while gearing up for the big matchup against no. 3 Duke Blue Devils on December 20th, 2018.
