The Bridge of Lubbock with host their annual Thanksgiving meal November 20, 2015 at Noon at The Bridge of Lubbock, 1301 E. Redbud Avenue, one block east of 13th and MLK.

The Thanksgiving lunch is a free, hot meal for homeless and low income families. Each individual attending will also receive a bag full of canned goods (first come, first served).

Director of Operations Hillary Hilderbrand said "serving the community in a multitude of ways is something we value here at The Bridge."

Hilderbrand added that it's their goal to be the hands and feet of Jesus, especially during the holiday season.

"The Bridge is thankful for our families we serve and it's our desire to honor them," Hilderbrand said.

The main focus of The Bridge, which is a nonprofit, is to help at risk youth, she said. Along with the youth come their families, which "is what makes events like the Thanksgiving meal so special."

Private individuals, businesses, organizations and churches fund The Bridge of Lubbock. They receive no federal funding or from the local United way. If you would like to make a donation or for more information, call (806) 687-0772 or email Hillary Hilderbrand at hhilderbrand@bridgeoflubbock.org.
