To celebrate the end of the world...which is supposedly happening sometime today...UltimateClassicRock.com put together a list of The Top 10 Doomsday Songs.

Technically, some people thought this was going to happen at 11:12 UTC, which was just after 7:00 A.M. our time, but there are a TON of theories.  Who knows.

Here's the list:

1.)   "The End",  The Doors  (1967)

2.)   "Bad Moon Rising",  Creedence Clearwater Revival  (1969)

3.)   "(Don't Fear) the Reaper",  Blue Oyster Cult  (1976)

4.)   "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)",  R.E.M.  (1987)

5.)   "Hells Bells",  AC/DC  (1980)

6.)   "Run Like Hell",  Pink Floyd  (1980)

7.)   "After Forever",  Black Sabbath  (1971)

8.)   "When the World Is Running Down, You Make the Best of What's Still Around",  The Police  (1980)

9.)   "Until the End of the World",  U2  (1991)

10.)   "The End",  The Beatles  (1969)

This list feels a little lazy. Perhaps the people behind it didn't want to extend themselves if the world was coming to an end anyway.

For example, "(Don't Fear) the Reaper" isn't about the apocalypse, it's about eternal love.  The lyrics even namedrop Romeo and Juliet.

Can you think of any other good songs about the apocalypse?  They don't have to be as obvious as the ones in the list, which all seem to have something about the end of the world in their titles.
