Travis Bruffy has been an integral part to the offensive lines renewed success in 2017 and he relayed his Christmas plans in his media availability this week heading into the Birmingham Bowl this weekend.

First and foremost, Bruffy wants a bowl win for Christmas. "I hope I've been on the nice list," he said.

When asked his plans for the Christmas holiday, Bruffy said: "Christmas Carol," which is a surprise. He then followed it up with his tradition of watching Scarface every Christmas Eve. There's nothing quite like going out on a crisp winters eve and caroling to lift the holiday spirit, and then returning home to snuggle up with some loved ones drinking cocoa and watching a movie about a jolly man (Tony Montana) giving snow (cocaine) and presents (bullets) to everyone for Christmas.

He also said he was excited to see his mama, which is nice.

Bruffy expounded on his love of caroling, saying "Jingle Bell Rock" is his favorite Christmas song because it's "upbeat and happy."

The interview really picks up when Bruffy is asked who else sings on the team. "Colin Yang," he relayed emphatically, saying Yang was a classical guy who plays the piano as well. Along with the classics, Yang enjoys singing Adele, The Fray and Train. He sounds fascinating.

Also listed by Bruffy as songbirds were Dylan Cantrell and his fellow offensive lineman, Madison Akamnonu and Bailey Smith, who, according to Bruffy, was in the church choir and "has a high-pitched voice. He sounds like Will Ferrel from 'Step Brothers.'"

I think Brandon Jones needs to round up his offensive line and put out a Christmas album!

Before Bruffy can get on to Scarface and caroling, he and the Red Raiders must play a game against the South Florida Bulls. You can listen to that game on 1340 The Fan on Saturday, December 23rd at 11:05 a.m. immediately following our 3 hour Countdown to Kickoff Bowl Special that will air starting at 8 a.m. that same morning.
