A video taken by a bystander in Austin shows a police officer grabbing a man's cellphone and another spraying him in the face with pepper spray.

The altercation occurred in Austin's bar district early Sunday morning (June 7) after another incident where an Austin police officer had tackled a man.

In the video, which was shot by YouTuber Jericho Tucker, you can see one officer on horseback grab a man's cellphone from his hand. Immediately after, a second officer who is on foot sprays the man in the face with pepper spray.

Austin Police Department told the Austin American-Statesman that they are "aware of this incident" and "conducting a review to determine if the officers' conduct is compliant with our policy."

This isn't the only controversial video out of Texas making the rounds online this week.

A video that surfaced Saturday (June 6) shows a police officer in McKinney, Texas who was responding to a complaint about a pool party pulling his gun on teens and wrestling a girl to the ground. That officer was placed on leave following the incident.

Warning: the video below contains excessive cursing.
