Lionel Richie teamed up with Jimmy Buffett to perform Lionel's hit 'All Night Long' at a gig in Detroit on Saturday night.

It was Jimmy's show, but he invited Lionel to open for him.

Lionel originally released the song in 1983 . . . and he re-released it earlier this year on his new album "Tuskegee".  That version features Jimmy and his band, and Jimmy has been performing it at his recent shows.

You can see the video below.  Lionel refers to Jimmy as his "cousin" at the beginning of the clip . . . and dances like Jimmy at the 4:56 mark.

Jimmy had another guest during the show.  Shane Battier from the Miami Heat played congas on "Margaritaville".  Shane is from Detroit, and is apparently a huge Parrothead.  There's video on YouTube, but the quality is pretty bad.

Also, you Parrotheads should plan on coming out to the Hub City Beach Party on August 4th at the Cactus Courtyard in the Depot District! Get all the details here.
