Derrick Willies, Houston Miller, TJ Vasher and Jett Duffey headline a class that stands at 26 after a recent commit by CB Doug Coleman, who flipped this weekend from Tulane thanks to the recruiting prowess of Jabbar Juluke.

Kliff Kingsbury and his staff had to have worked incredibly hard to keep this class together after the mass exodus of coaches following the 2015 football season.

Dequan Bowman, Willies and Duffey are all already on campus and ready to roll but the rest of the class will be signing their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, Feb 3.

DEFENSE

This class is the make-or-break class for David Gibbs' future at Texas Tech. It's probably unfair, but Texas Tech will need to lean heavily on this defensive class early with most of the starters from 2015 graduating.

The biggest need addressed in this class is the beef-up front, and there is plenty of it on this list.

Recruits expected to sign on defense:

DB Douglas Coleman

DB DaMarcus Fields

DB Neiman Armstrong

DB Desmon Smith

LB Kevin Moore

LB Johnathan Picone

LB Jordyn Brooks

LB Brayden Stringer

DE Houston Miller

DE Austin Deshay

DE Clarence Henderson

DE Noah Jones

DT Ivory Jackson

DT Mychealon Thomas

DT Nick McCann

DT Joe Wallace

Recruits that could surprise you:

S Demarkus Acy and LB/DE Marvin Terry

OFFENSE

After a huge year for the Texas Tech offense, the Red Raiders look to reload for the future at positions such as RB and QB. The biggest immediate need for the Texas Tech offense is height at the receiver position which they fill with 3 recruits listed over 6'4" in Vasher, Willies and Cox-Wesley.

Recruits expected to sign on offense:

QB Jett Duffey (signed NLI)

WR Derrick Willies (signed NLI)

WR DeQuan Bowman (signed NLI)

WR TJ Vasher

WR Antoine Cox-Wesley

RB Da'Leon Ward

RB Bryson Denley

OL Bailey Smith

OL Giovanni Pancotti
