Update: The Lubbock Police Department has released a past mugshot of 30-year-old Arthur Lee Manahan, who they've identified as the suspect in the murder of 21-year-old Ashaundre Grimes.

Grimes was found shot in a local 7-Eleven parking lot late Tuesday night (Oct. 23rd). He later died at University Medical Center.

Police say that Grimes and Manahan were involved in an altercation at the 7-Eleven just before the shooting.

The Lubbock Police Department has released the following information about Manahan:

  • Black male,
  • Weighs approximately 130 pounds
  • 6'1" tall
  • Has multiple tattoos, including a tear drop under his left eye and a tattoo on the right side of his face with the word "Loyal" and the dates, "5-12-80 / 3-22-02"
  • "On my own" tattoo across the front of his neck

Anyone with information about Manahan or his whereabouts are being urged to call the Crime Line at 806-741-1000. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.

Original story: A man was killed Tuesday night in a shooting at the 7-Eleven on Parkway Drive near Zenith Avenue.

Lubbock police responded to the convenience store parking lot at around 9:40 p.m. and confirmed that 21-year-old Ashaundre Grimes had serious bodily injuries. Grimes was then taken to UMC for treatment but died at the hospital.

Police have not said if there are any suspects or if any arrests have been made.
