Big Fun At The Yoakum County Tamale Festival (Photo Gallery)

We had big fun at the Yoakum County Tamale Festival, at Stuffy Moorehead Park in Denver City this past weekend. The weather cooperated nicely, and the crowd definitely enjoyed all the festivities!

Terrific live music, great eats, holiday shopping, face painting, a petting zoo, the Best Tamale contest and a Tamale Eating competition (which was fun for me to host) and more!

This year's Tamale eating winner Jose, ate 27 tamales in just 7 minutes and he was still smiling! That's 6 more than last years winner. Congratulations!

It was a real treat to meet the wonderful team at this event. Thank you so much for having me out to host the Tamale Eating! We're really looking forward to next year!
