Lubbock Police Release Photo of Man Who Left Pipe Bomb During Bank Robbery [Update]
Update #2: The Lubbock Police Department has released a photo of the person who robbed Happy State Bank on Monday. You can see it in the gallery above. The suspect allegedly used the pipe bomb during the commission of the robbery.
Update: The bomb squad responded to the bomb threat and, according to Everything Lubbock, have described it as a pipe bomb. Officers are looking for a male suspect. No other information about the suspect has been released. LPD couldn't confirm if this bomb threat incident at Happy State Bank and one earlier this afternoon at the Texas Tech campus are related.
Original Story: A bomb threat at a Happy State Bank in Lubbock, Texas is now being investigated by authorities within the same hour as a bomb threat at Texas Tech campus.
KLBK reporter Terri Furman tweeted out information about a person who reportedly threw a bag into the Happy State Bank location on 19th and Quaker Ave. on Monday afternoon, said it was a bomb and ran away.
This follows a bomb threat/suspicious package investigation at Texas Tech campus.
