Due to the increasing severity of the COVID-19 outbreak in the community, the City of Lubbock has announced changes in operations for some City facilities starting Monday, November 23rd.

All City Council Meetings and Board and Commission Meetings will be held virtually until further notice.

The lobby for Development Services will now be limited to no more than 3 customers at a time. Meetings will also be held virtually whenever feasible.

The Civic Center is closed to public events through December 2020 at the earliest.

Previously scheduled turf practices will continue at Berl Huffman through November 23rd, but there will be no rental of athletic complexes.

All museums will remain open to the public, but there will be no rentals or in-person programming.

All community centers will be closed starting November 23rd, but the senior lunch program will continue with curbside and delivery options.

The Garden and Arts Center will not be hosting events with over 10 people.

All libraries will remain open, but there will be no room rentals and food or drinks are prohibited.

There will be a limit to the number of defendants in both courtrooms at the Municipal Court, and there will be no jury trials until February 1st 2021.

Staff at all public health facilities will continue with reduced clinic schedules. Drive-up vaccinations will be offered where possible.

Citibus will continue operations with its current COVID-19 measures in place.

Lubbock Animal Shelters will continue intake by appointment only. Cat room capacity will be limited to one group per room, and volunteer capacity will be limited to 3 volunteers at a time.
