According to the Full Moon Calendar on space.com the December full moon, known as the Cold Moon, will peak on Thursday, Dec. 12th at 12:12 A.M. (EDT).

The moon will appear full the night before and after the peak and is known by many other nicknames by different cultures.

Lubbock is expected to have partly cloudy sky to enjoy the view of the Cold Moon early Thursday morning, but if you miss it Thursday you'll get another chances when the sky is expected to be clearer on Friday.
