Eric Clapton Announces New Tour Documentary
In light of Eric Clapton's recently reiterated plans to retire from the road, his fans should be sure to make each tour count -- and they can do just that with his upcoming live documentary, 'Planes, Trains and Eric.'
Due out Nov. 4, the DVD/Blu-ray release captures Clapton and his band (including drummer Steve Gadd, bassist Nathan East, and keyboardists Paul Carrack and Chris Stainton) on the "Far and Middle Eastern" portion of his 2014 world tour. Along with 13 complete live performances culled from those shows, 'Planes, Trains and Eric' also includes interviews, rehearsals, and sound check footage, adding up to what Eagle Rock Entertainment promises will be "an intimate film documenting life on the road" as well as "an unrivalled peek into the world of one of today’s greatest performers."
The documentary will serve as Clapton's second major release of the year, following his most recent record, the No. 2 hit all-star J.J. Cale tribute album 'The Breeze.' Take a look at the complete 'Planes, Trains and Eric' track listing below.
