On Friday, Facebook announced new plans to fight revenge porn on all of its platforms. According to ABC News, Facebook announced new measures to stop revenge porn before it's reported on Facebook and Instagram.

It's the so-called "emergency option," however, that's raising eyebrows.

According to ABC News, Facebook users can "provide a photo proactively to Facebook" in order to prevent images from being shared.

In other words, Facebook says you can send your own nude pictures to help prevent others from sharing your nude pictures.

According to ABC News, here's how it works if you really want to send Facebook your nude pictures:

In the pilot program, a user could send a photo to themselves on messenger, which a Facebook specialist turned into a digital fingerprint. The fingerprint was then stored in a database to check against potential future matches. This method is now being expanded over the coming months.

Facebook is also using A.I. to find nude images and videos that may be uploaded without the person's permission. The company is using other measures as well to combat revenge porn.

No word yet how many people Facebook expects to upload nude pictures of themselves.
