Monday evening, the 2017 NCAA Lubbock All-Regional Team was released, after Sam Houston State beat Texas Tech 4-3 to advance to the NCAA Super Regional.

Bearkat pitcher Riley Cooper came out of the bullpen in three of the five games Sam Houston State played in Lubbock. While pitching in middle relief, Cooper picked up wins in all three games; Friday against Arizona, Sunday night against Texas Tech and Monday against Texas Tech. For his efforts, Cooper was named the Most Outstanding Player.

Four Texas Tech players were named to the All-Regional Team: Hunter Hargrove, Josh Jung (pictured), Tanner Gardner and Steven Gingery.
