A fire in Clovis, New Mexico has taken the lives of three people and injured at least one other.

Sunday (Nov. 26), officers with the Clovis Police Department and the Clovis Fire Department were sent to the 200 block of Calhoun Street at approximately 3 p.m. for a reported structure fire. A building in the backyard of the residence was engulfed in flames.

Once the fire was extinguished, three persons were found dead inside the burned structure; 54 year-old John Sandoval, 51 year-old Robert Mebane, and 52 year-old Billie Jo Grabowslcy.  53 year-old Rogelio Hernandez managed to escape the blaze and was treated at Plains Regional Medical Center.

An investigation by the Clovis Police Department is still ongoing.
