I'm not making this up, it's pretty creepy.

As many of you know, I'm the co-owner of Nightmare On 19th Street. It takes a LOT to creep me out. I've actually carried dead body props across a graveyard in the middle of a thunderstorm. We have also had foxes rip birds and small animals apart and leave us "offerings" on our midway. We have had tons of unexplained movement of props while no-one else is around. We have also had paranormal groups out that have used instruments to show that the place appears to be haunted. None of this is as creepy as what I've seen in broad daylight.

The Appearance

The street that runs towards the front gates of the Lone Star Events Center has two names. It is called Compress Avenue and also Weber. Exiting that street and across the street just barely to the right on 19th street is some brush that is at the edge of Mackenzie Park.  I looked over one day and standing just barely in front of the brush was a Hispanic man wearing all black with "Black Fly" type sunglasses. He was wearing clothes that looked almost medieval in nature. I did a double-take and the guy just stood there unmoving.

It Kept Happening

This was a pattern that happened over and over. Every Saturday I'd leave and the man in black would just be standing there, staring vacantly ahead and making no notice of all of the traffic. Now this story might not even be worth telling, but I mentioned it to someone recently and they said they saw a hooded man, much like I describe in the bushes of Mackenzie Park.

Creeped Out

So, I'm not real big on the supernatural, but I'm going to say that there was something very odd and unnerving about all of this. Why was the guy always there at the same time? Why did he not move? What was he staring at? And ultimately, how or why did he disappear after having this regular routine. The whole thing was really trippy and I'm near 100% that I'll never have the answer.
