Crackin’ Good! New Asian Fusion Seafood Restaurant Now Open In Lubbock
Are you ready to get cracking?
Cracking crab legs that is! A new restaurant has opened in Lubbock that looks like a decadent and delicious seafood culinary adventure- with an Asian flavor twist on many of the menu items.
District 1 King Claw & Lounge is now open at 98th & Slide. And it has a big, beautiful sign too:
An LBK Foodie member who attended the soft opening shared photos of the menu, which is full of delicious options, whether you're hungry for traditional-style seafood or something a little more adventurous.
Some pictures from the preview show samples of the food on styrofoam plates, however, another person who seems very in the know assured commenters that they do have real dishes.
Anyway, if the food is good, the plate doesn't matter to me!
Now, I just need a seafood date. My honey thinks crabs are creepy because they evolved separately on different parts of the planet and oh-my-gracious that's actually true.
Anyway, if a cow evolved multiple times, I'd still be eating beef, so....
Besides crabs, also listed on their enticing menu are: mussels, oysters, lobster, prawns, shrimp, scallops, and more- and all in a variety of flavor options and preparations.
Oooo, I love coconut shrimp!
If you are looking for a true seafood feast, the menu also includes combo deals, so you and your friends can work through a pile of lobsters, crabs, clams, etc., etc.
Remember, it takes a tremendous amount of bravery, grit, and resilience to even get a restaurant open. That's why I'm always excited to see a local person take the plunge.
Welcome to Lubbock District 1 King Claw & Lounge! I can hear the crab crackin' already.
